Newspaper Article on the Suicide of Ann Withers 1891
Details:
The following article was part of the 'Inquests Yesterday' section of the newspaper named below. There were 3 inquests in this particular section, with Ann Withers being one of them.
I first discovered that Ann Withers ( nee Tipton ) had commited suicide when I obtained a copy of her death certificate. The certificate stated that she had committed suicide by '... throwing herself into the river Frome whilst suffering from temporary insanity ...'.
It sounded like a story that could have been in the newspapers, so I decided to do some research. The article on the right appeared a week after her suicide.
